First prize competition Xiamen

With a first prize, two second and two third prizes, OBERMEYER was successful in the international competition for the urban design concept of areas along the planned Underground Railway Line 1 in Xiamen, China. As a result, the concept design is to be elaborated for the surrounding of the "Jimei Avenue" halt.

Aschaffenburg Ring Closure

At the end of June 2013 the newly completed Aschaffenburg Ring Road was opened. Engaged in this project since planning commenced in 1982, OBERMEYER had been commissioned with the overall planning of the two subsections "Southern Ring Road" and "Ring Closure East".

BSU newbuild in Hamburg completed

Since the beginning of June 2013 about 1 500 employees have been moving into the new headquarters of the State Ministry for Urban Development and Environment (BSU) in Hamburg. OBERMEYER was commissioned with the overall planning of the new building from the detailed design and is accompanying the DGNB certification in gold.

Ground-Breaking Ceremony for Frankenhain Tunnel

The ground-breaking ceremony for the Frankenhain tunnel near Schwalmstadt in Hesse was held on April 29, 2013. Frankenhain tunnel is part of the A49 motorway Kassel-Gemünden. It serves noise protection in the region on the one hand and prevents the spatial separation of the Frankenhain district from Schwalmstadt-Treysa on the other.

Appointment to Reform Commission

Minister Dr. Peter Ramsauer has appointed Maximilian Grauvogl, managing partner of OBERMEYER Planen + Beraten GmbH, to the panel of experts which, in the next two years, is to draw up guidelines for the successful execution of large construction projects.

Pumped storage power plant Blautal

The planning association OBERMEYER / Bernard Ingenieure was commissioned with the preliminary planning as well as design and approval planning of a pumped storage power plant in Blautal. The power plant is to secure the network stability and supply in the region.

2nd prize for LMU München Nanoscience Institute

OBERMEYER Munich has been awarded 2nd prize in the competition for the new Nanoscience Institute building of the Ludwigs-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) München in Königinstraße. The competition embraced both an urbanistic ideas part and an implementation part for the redevelopment.
