Flight over the construction site of Al Ain Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE

In the oasis city of Al Ain, the existing general hospital, which is still in operation, is to be replaced by a new spacious clinic campus with over 700 beds. As one of the first large-scale projects at OBERMEYER, the hospital was planned using the innovative BIM method. Currently, OBERMEYER manages and supervises the construction site. The current construction progress is 76%. Watch the current project status in the following video.


Light rail transit extension Potsdam

The Potsdam tram network is being extended to the north. Following the Europe-wide tender for the new line OBERMEYER and Ramboll were awarded the contract. The planning section including rail connection (light rail transit) runs to Fahrland via Krampnitz over a length of
approx. 7 km.


Quality Assurance Passenger Transport System Fraport

As part of the expansion of Frankfurt Airport the future Terminal 3 is to be connected to Terminals 1 and 2 by a new Passenger Transport System (PTS). The double-track, fully automated transport system has a length of 5.6 km and runs as an elevated railway north of the runways in the airport's confined operation area. On behalf of Fraport OBERMEYER is, in a JV with Ramboll and Prose, responsible for assuring the quality of the PTS system supplier in the design and implementation.

Auenbach Viaduct BIM Pilot Project

The Auenbach viaduct project is one of four BIM pilot projects which the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) tendered to test innovative planning methods. The bridge is part of the overall project "New construction of the federal highway B 107 Chemnitz southern ring-road–motorway A4" and comprises the planning of a viaduct with a total length of 142 m and a frame bridge in steel composite construction. Client is DEGES, die Deutsche Einheit Fernstraßenplanungs- und -bau GmbH.


Ras Al-Khaimah Airport

Ras Al Khaimah, the most northern Emirate within the UAE, is developing its airport to cater for future traffic demand. OBERMEYER developed a master plan to extend the existing airport to a capacity of 3 million annual passengers. The master plan includes all facilities such as runway/taxiway system, passenger terminal complex, cargo, aircraft maintenance, landside traffic development as well as technical infrastructure.

Competition Hamma Central Station, Algier

The new central station building in Algiers essentially consists of two parts: of the light roof construction making reference to urban development and of the platform, situated at a height of 6.20 m, accommodating the station‘s functional areas. The roof structure resembling a tent was borrowed from the cultural context of the country. It spans eleven station platforms at a hight of 25 m. Thus, the new railway building becomes an Algier landmark. The platform spans the wide lane of the track harp and connects the adjacent districts as a publicly accessible zone offering the city a chance to expand towards the water.
