AlgaeTec Facility opened in Ottobrunn near Munich

Since October 2015 a world first has been underway at the Ludwig Bölkow Campus in Ottobrunn/Taufkirchen. In cooperation with Airbus Group the Technical University of Munich (TUM) has built an algae technical facility for research into processes for producing biokerosene and chemical intermediates from algae. OBERMEYER was responsible for the general planning of the project.

Change in Board of Management

As of 12th November 2015 the corporate divisions of OBERMEYER Planen + Beraten GmbH have been restructured. Steffen Kretz has been appointed as the new Managing Director for the Infrastructure Division.

Order for BIM Pilot Project

The German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) has solicited four pilot projects in infrastructure planning for the implementation of BIM methods. In this context OBERMEYER was commissioned by DEGES - Deutsche Einheit Fernstraßenplanungs- und bau GmbH with the design for the Auenbach viaduct project applying BIM methods.

Opening of Luise-Kiesselbach-Tunnel, Munich

On 25 July 2015, after a construction period of six years, the new 2.8 km long tunnel under Luise-Kiesselbach-Platz and Heckenstallerstraße in Munich was opened. It was possible to adhere not only to the schedules, but also the estimated costs of 398.5 million euros. OBERMEYER is entrusted with the construction supervision of the measure in joint venture.

Cut-Through of Burgberg Tunnel Second Tube, Erlangen

On 2 July 2015, after a six-month construction period, the cut-through of the second tube of the 306 m long Burgberg tunnel was celebrated. The original tunnel dates back to the year 1844, when it was the first railway tunnel in Bavaria. The planning for the second tunnel tube was performed by OBERMEYER up to the approval stage.

Laying of Foundation Stone for New Construction of Chinese Consulate-General in Munich

At an official ceremony held on 19 June 2015 the foundation stone was laid for the new construction of the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Munich. OBERMEYER has been the planning partner for the Consulate-General on the German side since 2012.

OBERMEYER wins Competition of Realisation

The winner of the competition of realisation for the redevelopment of Theodor-Heuss-Platz in Ulm was announced at the end of March 2015. OBERMEYER received the first prize together with bbz landschaftsarchitekten.
