Sound and cinema technology for Munich's cultural centre Gasteig

After its renovation the Gasteig in Munich is to become Europe's most modern cultural centre. OBERMEYER was commissioned with the planning of the entire sound and cinema technology.

Matthias Braun confirmed as presidium member of buildingsmart

On 23 October buildingSMART Deutschland e.V. held its 23rd forum in Berlin. The presidium elections already took place the day before. Matthias Braun, Managing Director at OBERMEYER, will again represent the "planning" division.

OBERMEYER supports SuedLink project for Jacobs

SuedLink, the world's largest planned underground cable project, goes into next stage. OBERMEYER will provide technical planning as Jacob’s subcontractor. The entire planning will be BIM-based.

First prizes for urban planning projects in China

In the past few months, OBERMEYER China has won four first prizes in the international competitions for urban planning projects.

Installation wins German interior design prize

Every four years the bdia - bund deutscher innenarchitekten e.V. awards the German Interior Design Prize (DIAP) to the best realized interior design projects. With this prize the bdia honours innovative projects that have been conceived, designed and implemented in an exemplary manner. With the installation "Heimatverbunden" OBERMEYER is one of this year's winners.

OBERMEYER is planning for Munich's largest school construction project

In the west of Munich, in Freiham, a new district is being built. The individual subprojects also include an extensive education campus, which went into operation on time at the beginning of the new school year in September 2019/20. OBERMEYER was responsible for the planning of the supply and the building services engineering.

OBERMEYER plans for major Hamburg/Bremen-Hannover project

The railway project Hamburg/Bremen-Hannover is one of the current major projects of Deutsche Bahn (DB). DB Netz AG plans and implements rail infrastructure projects on behalf of the Federal Government. The projects are defined by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) within the framework of the Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan (BVWP) and financed with federal funds. OBERMEYER is currently planning two of the four sections of the approximately 400 km construction project on behalf of DB.

OBERMEYER received commission for Kuwait airport

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Kuwait (DGCA) has commissioned OBERMEYER Middle East (OME) with consultancy and project management services for the implementation of the existing master plan projects as well as for future measures at Kuwait International Airport (KWI).

Patrick Schneider receives BIM award for his master´s thesis

On January 28, 2019, the BIM award, donated by HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions GmbH, was awarded at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The award recognizes the best degree and study projects in Building Information Modeling (BIM). Patrick Schneider from OBERMEYER Karlsruhe received the 1st prize for his master's thesis.

 

Award-winning: new construction of the Mayrhofen railway station

In August 2018, the town of Mayrhofen in Austria announced a competition for the construction of a new railway station and its traffic infrastructure. OBERMEYER’s design was awarded 2nd prize.

 

District at Qindao Sino-German Ecopark received DGNB award

The Sino-German Ecopark District C2 in Qingdao, for which OBERMEYER primarily provided the deepening of the urban planning for traffic and ecological core-principles as well as the landscape design, was awarded the first "DGNB Urban District Certificate in Gold" in China by the German Council for Sustainable Buildings (DGNB).
